Resource Central is hiring an Event Lead to ensure the safe, smooth operation of our Garden In A Box program distribution events. In this in-person role, you’ll drive our company vehicle to event sites across Colorado, lead the setup and logistics, and serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers and participants.
What You'll Do
- Lead safe, well-organized garden distribution events designed to serve participants while supporting volunteers, vendors, and staff.
- Prepare, organize, load, transport, and return event supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Oversee on-site setup, event operations, and post-event cleanup to ensure smooth execution.
- Welcome, train, and coach volunteers throughout their shifts to ensure clarity and engagement.
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively while confidently solving problems independently.
- Help create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued.
- Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact; respond to questions and resolve on-site issues.
- Uphold safety best practices during event preparation, setup, and execution.
What We're Looking For
- Passion for helping people conserve water or a strong desire to learn.
- Outstanding customer service skills and a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during fast-paced, high-volume events.
- Availability on weeknights and Saturdays.
- Must be 21 years of age upon start date.
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, access to a reliable automobile, and a smartphone.
- Ability to drive the company vehicle to and from our Boulder office and travel to worksites across Colorado's Front Range and other regions, requiring extended commutes or overnight stays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks safely, including routinely lifting 30 lbs, walking continuously, and kneeling, lifting, and bending.
- Ability to safely work outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, rain, and snow.
- Must pass a background check and driving record evaluation.
Nice to Have
- Experience coordinating events or leading volunteer groups.
- Basic computer, iPad, and smartphone skills.
Team & Environment
You will report to the Water Programs Manager for Garden In A Box.
