What You'll Do
Lead end-to-end estimating processes by transforming client requirements into comprehensive RFP packages. You'll coordinate with internal teams to gather technical details and translate them into actionable sourcing initiatives.
Manage supplier engagement from initial outreach through negotiation, ensuring competitive pricing and full compliance with specifications. You’ll collect and validate supplier data, integrating it into estimating systems to support accurate cost modeling.
Develop high-level estimates even when information is limited, using industry insight to anticipate costs and risks. Deliver clear, analytical summaries that inform final pricing strategies and help guide business decisions.
Prepare client-ready submittals and internal reports, ensuring clarity and consistency. Support smooth transitions from the estimating phase to production by collaborating with operations and supply chain teams.
Regularly analyze supplier performance and market trends, providing feedback to strengthen partnerships. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align stakeholders and track progress across projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cost estimation, procurement, or supply chain within a technical or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of RFP processes and supplier negotiation
- Ability to create reliable estimates with limited data and tight timelines
- Proficiency with estimating tools and data management systems
- Skill in preparing reports and summaries for diverse audiences
- Experience acting as a bridge between technical, operational, and commercial teams
