United Placement Group is seeking an Estate and Business Planning Attorney to join its network of legal professionals. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to help clients with their estate and business planning needs through a flexible, remote contract arrangement.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive client consultations via virtual communication platforms.
- Draft detailed estate plans with a focus on probate avoidance and asset protection.
- Provide specialized legal expertise in business formation, succession planning, taxation, Medicaid, and special needs planning.
What We're Looking For
- Active membership in good standing with the Kansas State Bar.
- Current resident of Kansas.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience drafting estate plans.
- Prior experience working in a private practice environment.
- Comfort and proficiency with virtual communication and consultation methods.
- Familiarity with modern technology, including Microsoft products and CRM systems.
- Possession of professional liability insurance.
Nice to Have
- Experience preparing asset protection irrevocable trusts.
- Knowledge in special needs planning, real estate, elder law, taxation, and asset protection.
- Prior experience in business formation.
- Admission to state bars beyond Kansas.
- Bilingual skills.
