Egis Group is looking for an Environmental Studies Engineer to join the ONE project management team for the Canal Seine Nord Europe construction project. In this onsite role, you will support the Environmental Manager in ensuring all construction works adhere to stringent environmental regulations and monitoring protocols.
What You'll Do
- Assist with environmental monitoring of de-vegetation works, controlling documented information and compliance with the prefectural order.
- Support ecological engineering market monitoring, tracking compensatory measures.
- Verify regulatory compliance for site installations and facilities, including location, waste management, and control of invasive alien species.
- Conduct regulatory controls for tree alignments, historical monuments, and other sensitive areas.
- Participate in bi-monthly ONE2 meetings (CSNE environmental committee) and thematic environmental technical working groups.
- Attend technical committee meetings.
- Update reporting for sustainable development and eco-design aspects.
- Control and VISA documents submitted by market holders.
What We're Looking For
- Education: A Master's degree or Engineering degree (Bac+5) in environment, ecological engineering, or land use planning.
- Experience: An internship or apprenticeship in environmental site monitoring.
- Skills: Knowledge of ICPE and environmental regulations and contractual documents for works contracts. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Mobility: A Category B driving license is mandatory. You must be on-site a minimum of 3 days per week in the departments of Oise and/or Somme.
- Qualities: Rigor, autonomy in the field, and strong interpersonal skills for interacting with companies, project owners, and state services.
