Allegheny Health Network is hiring an Environmental Services Associate (Housekeeping-PT) at Allegheny General Hospital, represented by SEIU - D. You will be responsible for completing the standardized cleaning process in patient rooms, offices, departments, and other ancillary areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform timely patient room cleaning and provide cleaning support to various departments, including discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning, and ancillary area cleaning.
- Clean assigned building exteriors, refill dispensers in all required areas, and collect all receptacles.
- Complete assigned project work, which may include wall washing, trash removal, and biohazardous linens and sharps container removal.
- Assist with hospital emergency clean up.
- Actively participate in and accomplish Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
- Adhere to all hospital safety standards in the use of chemicals, equipment, and machinery, and clearly mark hazardous areas resulting from cleaning processes.
- Adhere to the policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the hospital and regulatory bodies.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Basic reading, writing, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to operate power equipment.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position based at Allegheny General Hospital.
