Langan is seeking an Environmental Intern/Co-op to join its collaborative team in Doylestown, PA. In this role, you will provide key assistance on the environmental technical aspects of diverse land development projects. You will have the opportunity to partner directly with environmental leadership and gain exposure to site feasibility studies, field work, technical report preparation, and design plans.
What You'll Do
- Assist with planning and executing field investigations, including logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and recording data.
- Monitor construction projects by taking various tests to evaluate compliance with job specifications.
- Identify solutions to field and/or laboratory problems and accurately document results.
- Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
- Prepare a variety of standard logs and field forms.
- Learn data management and modeling tools, perform engineering analyses, and use field equipment properly.
- Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and prepare reports.
- Prepare laboratory data summary tables and figures.
- Effectively use reports, maps, drawings, and other data to assess soil, terrain, and hydrological characteristics for project planning.
- Perform other duties as requested.
What We're Looking For
- Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of GIS or environmentally related software, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
