AECOM is looking for an Environmental Data Scientist II to join our team in Taguig City. You will be a mid-level contributor supporting our enterprise environmental data management system, requiring a strong understanding of environmental data and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll be part of a global team driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.
What You'll Do
- Gather, organize, and validate field data from environmental monitoring activities such as air, soil, and water quality assessments.
- Manage field and analytical data in relational database systems like EarthSoft EQuIS, Locus EIM, or other environmental databases.
- Conduct QA/QC for electronic data deliverables with laboratory analytical data to ensure quality.
- Generate standardized report output through software tools like EQuIS or EIM.
- Prepare environmental data summaries and compliance reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
- Utilize statistical tools and predictive modeling techniques to assess environmental impacts and forecast trends.
- Design and create dashboards and visualizations using platforms such as Power BI or EQuIS Enterprise.
- Ensure data meets reporting standards and guidelines set by local, state, and federal authorities.
- Generate Borelogs through multiple platforms like gINT or EQuIS.
- Support legacy data migrations to EQuIS/EIM as needed, ensuring proper formatting and compatibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and team members to achieve project objectives efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in environmental data management or consulting.
- Hands-on experience in EQuIS, LOCUS EIM, ESDAT, or similar environmental databases.
- Proficiency in managing and analyzing environmental data from soil, water, and groundwater investigations.
- Intermediate to expert level understanding of Office 365, Excel, Power Query, and Power Automation.
- A basic understanding of MS SQL and T-SQL programming.
- Fluent in English (oral and written), a team player and mentor, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- An expert level understanding of Office 365, Excel, Power Query, and Power Automation.
- Strong organizational skills, with experience prioritizing, time management and managing multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of digital tools like Power BI, R Studio, KNIME Analytics, or Python.
