SRG Global Mining Services is looking for an Environmental Advisor to lead and coordinate environmental management and compliance across our civil construction projects. You will provide expert advisory support to project teams, ensuring adherence to environmental approvals, legislation, and client standards while driving sustainable construction practices and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement project Environmental Management Plans (EMPs)
- Ensure compliance with environmental approvals, legislation and client requirements
- Identify environmental risks and implement effective mitigation controls
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance monitoring
- Lead environmental incident investigations and corrective actions
- Prepare reports for clients and regulatory authorities
- Manage regulator and stakeholder engagement
- Oversee erosion and sediment controls, waste, biodiversity and heritage protection
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with environmental standards
- Deliver environmental training and drive continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar environmental role
- Experience working within a civil/construction environment
- Strong communication skills
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement
Nice to Have
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science
- Proven experience within the water space
