Employment Hero is looking for an Enterprise Integrations Lead to own the design, delivery, and maintenance of our core integration framework. You will build the reliable, secure, and efficient system interoperability that connects our enterprise systems, data flows, and AI-enabled workflows, enabling smooth operations and foundational automation.
What You'll Do
- Own the design, build, and maintenance of integration workflows and patterns across enterprise systems.
- Ensure integrations are reliable, scalable, observable, and aligned to modern engineering and automation practices.
- Lead the uplift of our integration tooling, frameworks, and documentation.
- Work with Enterprise Platforms, Architecture, and Engineering to define and maintain consistent integration architecture standards.
- Ensure that upstream and downstream systems are connected through robust, well-designed integrations.
- Support API design, event-driven patterns, and data movement models.
- Work within the AI Enablement function to ensure integration patterns support agentic workflows, model activation, and automation use cases.
- Build integration primitives that allow AI agents to safely access, trigger, and orchestrate system actions.
- Ensure integrations facilitate responsible access, traceability, and data movement required for AI-driven operations.
- Work with domain owners across GTM, CX, Ops, Finance, and Product to understand integration requirements and prioritise delivery.
- Partner with Data teams to ensure integration design supports quality, governance, and architecture expectations.
- Act as the point of escalation for integration issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Define, document, and embed integration standards, patterns, and ways of working across tech teams.
- Champion reusability, maintainability, and resilience in integration design.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and performance management for integration workflows.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers working on integration components.
- Help shape a long-term integration capability that scales with EH’s global footprint.
- Play a key part in the cultural uplift of engineering excellence and operational discipline across teams.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in integration engineering, automation, or backend roles with a delivery mindset.
- Strong practical design and build skills in Workato.
- Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, event-driven systems, and data flow design.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems in modern cloud environments.
- Understanding of APIs, event-driven patterns, system interoperability, and data movement.
- Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Data, and AI teams to solve cross-system challenges.
- Comfortable working hands-on while also contributing to architecture and standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach suited to a high-growth scale-up environment.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of modern SaaS platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Slack, Relevance.ai) and how to connect them.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Comfortable supporting both AI and non-AI integration scenarios based on business needs.
