Role Overview
Join a global team delivering essential interpretation services for live calls requiring accurate, real-time translation between English and Mandarin or Cantonese. This position supports a wide range of sectors, including emergency response, healthcare, law enforcement, insurance, finance, utilities, travel, and government services. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from home, and requires availability for rotating night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear and precise verbal interpretation during live conversations between English and your native language (Mandarin or Cantonese)
- Support emergency and non-emergency calls, ensuring accurate message exchange between callers and service providers
- Adapt to a variety of topics, from technical inquiries to urgent situations, maintaining clarity and neutrality
- Operate from a secure, quiet home workspace using company-specified devices
- Follow a structured schedule with rotating night shifts, including availability between 8 PM and 12 AM
- Complete a mandatory three-week daytime training program (Monday to Friday) before beginning active shifts
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and either Mandarin or Cantonese, with strong speaking, reading, and writing skills in both languages
- Ability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection and compatible mobile device (Android 12+ or iOS 15+)
- Willingness to commit to a 12-month renewable contract with 40 hours of weekly availability (8 hours per day including a 1-hour break)
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts and scheduled days off
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate of RM30, guaranteeing a minimum of RM4,800 per month (based on 160 hours)
- Overtime pay for eligible hours
- 14 days of paid sick leave and 12 days of annual leave
- Full pay during the 3-week daytime training period

Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote position open to candidates in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Cambodia. Work follows a rotating night shift schedule with two scheduled days off per week. All training and operations are conducted in English and either Mandarin or Cantonese.
