Unknown Company is hiring an English Language Arts Teacher

About the Role

The Keystone School, a Stride K12 partner school, is looking for a certified English Language Arts Teacher to provide personalized, data-driven instruction in an online environment. As a key educator, you will manage the learning process for middle and high school students, focusing on individual needs and fostering success for all learners.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
  • Commit to personalizing learning for all students and demonstrate a belief in all students’ ability to succeed.
  • Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
  • Augment course content according to prescribed policies using appropriate virtual tools.
  • Maintain the grade book, ensure academic integrity, and make student placement and promotion decisions.
  • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
  • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families, communicating regularly with students and learning coaches.
  • Support learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic technical troubleshooting issues.
  • Travel as required (approximately 20% of the time) for professional development, student testing, and school needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Appropriate state High School/Middle School (6-12) English/Language Arts Teaching Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Active state teaching license.
  • Ability to clear required background check.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with the proposed age group.
  • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
  • Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment.
  • Experience with online learning platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to interpret student data and use it to drive instructional decisions.
  • Receptive to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
  • Ability to maintain certification and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
