Kiewit Corporation is looking for an Engineering & Project Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to our project execution team and department staff. You will be a key contributor, promoting teamwork and creativity through effective communication and proactive problem-solving. This role requires a self-starting professional proficient in various software systems and dedicated to supporting the team's operational success.
What You'll Do
- Support project staff coordination and day-to-day administrative functions, including meeting coordination, travel support, and team-building efforts.
- Coordinate project events, arranging meetings, conferences, and team gatherings.
- Compile, edit, and submit project reports.
- Assist with internal and external communications, including messaging, writing, editing, and research.
- Prepare meeting agendas, assist with setup and cleanup, and create PowerPoint presentations.
- Manage expense reports, invoicing, and purchasing card transactions.
- Track budgets and prepare related reports for team and company use.
- Schedule inter-group and cross-company meetings.
- Collaborate on administrative processes across departments with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Provide basic support for company branding, marketing materials, and online media projects.
- Serve as a resource for questions regarding office operations, policies, and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- US citizenship is required for site badge access; proof of citizenship must be provided.
- Self-starting attitude and demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to get things done.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and active listening skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, work productively, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to take direction and provide timely feedback on task progress.
- Willingness to work occasional extended hours or weekends as required by site operational needs, with overtime pay offered.
- Willingness and ability to learn new software for business and document control.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Effective and professional communication skills for interacting with supervisors, employees, and teams.
- Ability to perform work safely, follow oral and written instructions, and adhere to policies.
- Ability to work at various locations under varying conditions.
Nice to Have
- 1-3+ years of administrative experience.
- Experience supporting construction and/or engineering organizations.
- Experience with Federal Government work, preferably Department of Energy or Nuclear Industries.
