The Engineering Manager at Postman will lead a fullstack engineering team in Austin, TX, focusing on architecting and roadmapping core services while actively contributing technically. This role emphasizes people management, mentoring engineers, and driving technical productivity within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of the engineering management team.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience serving in an engineering management role shipping customer-facing products.
- Proficient in Typescript, and/or Python, Java, Go, C#, or PHP.
- Managed a fullstack team of client, and backend engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
- Track record of leading productive engineering teams.
- Successfully recruited great people to your teams.
- Thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
- Encourage a healthy work environment that’s both supportive and challenging.
- Excited to help engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers.
- Clear and persuasive in writing and in person.
- Lead by example, by setting the right context, and by helping teammates do their best work.
- Technical enough to ask engineers good questions about architecture and product decisions.
- Experienced engineering manager who has mentored other engineering leaders.
- Very organized. With many people doing many things in a fast-moving company, strong organizational skills—both for yourself and for the team—will be required.
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid choices in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company.
Nice to Have
- Experience writing client libraries and SDKs.
- 4+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
- Familiarity with professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations.

Compensation: $200,000 to $229,000 base salary with a competitive equity package.
Work Mode
Onsite role in Austin, TX, requiring 5 days a week in office.
