Clubhouse is looking for an Engineering Manager, Client to build, support, and grow the team responsible for our user-facing features. You will work closely with founders, product, design, and data teams to solve user problems and create meaningful social products that foster connection.
What You'll Do
- Build and support the client engineering team, working with recruiting to hire engineers.
- Guide the development of mobile apps and help turn product vision into a tangible monthly roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with EPD leadership and contribute to processes that drive shipping velocity.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists to understand user problems and co-create product solutions.
- Work closely with leadership to convert technical and product visions into tangible roadmaps.
- Lead and define technical strategy and roadmaps, working with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and execute against high-impact opportunities.
- Grow, teach, and improve rapidly within an incredible team that loves to learn.
- Create meaningful social products that bring people's voices together to foster friendship.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 2+ years of engineering management experience.
- Experience sourcing and hiring amazing engineers.
- Experience supporting a team of 6+ engineers through coaching and charting career paths.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical partners.
- Scrappy and entrepreneurial with a bias towards shipping and getting things done.
- Committed to coaching, developing, and supporting individuals on your team.
- Low-ego team player who puts the team's success first.
