Responsibilities

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of backend systems
- Oversee incident management and post-mortem processes
- Promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
- Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and team ceremonies
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical delivery
- Identify and implement improvements in system architecture
- Support recruitment and onboarding of engineering talent
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Monitor team velocity and contribute to process optimization
- Represent engineering in strategic discussions
- Balance technical debt with feature development
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools
- Maintain clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Drive automation in testing and deployment pipelines
- Champion reliability and observability across services
- Support disaster recovery and capacity planning initiatives
