Kiwi Financial Inc is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team in building scalable, high-performance products. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will actively contribute to technical design and development while guiding the team and shaping architecture.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and evolve applications using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript on the frontend and Node.js (Express/NestJS) on the backend.
Build and optimize integrations with backend services and distributed systems.
Lead the design and implementation of PostgreSQL and other database solutions.
Define and enforce standards for code quality, testing, and CI/CD pipelines (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
Implement solutions using no-code/low-code tools (Lovable, v0, Bolt) and leverage AI for performance, usability, and personalization.
Promote best practices in architecture, high availability, and micro frontends.
Provide technical mentorship and support the professional growth of the engineering team.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

What We're Looking For

8+ years in software development and 3+ years in technical leadership or high-impact roles.
Strong proficiency in React.js, Next.js, TypeScript and UI frameworks (Tailwind CSS, Material UI, Chakra UI).
Solid experience with Node.js (Express/NestJS) and Python (FastAPI).
Experience designing and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database modeling.
Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, EC2).
Experience working with distributed architectures and microservices.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with practical knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Fluent communication in English (oral and written).

Nice to Have

Previous experience in fintech or building digital financial products.
