Travelers is seeking participants for its Engineering Development Program (EDP) – Software Engineering, a one-year rotational program designed to build technical and self-leadership skills. You’ll join the Software Engineering track, gaining hands-on opportunities, immersive learning, and expert mentoring to prepare for a dynamic career at a company with a culture rooted in innovation and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to overall software design strategy by planning, developing, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, documenting, and implementing software solutions.
- Leverage modern software engineering and analytic tools and practices.
- Design, deliver, and support state-of-the-art and high-performing infrastructure platforms and services.
- Participate in an immersive learning journey focused on disruptive technologies, insurance, strategy, leading self, and influencing others.
- Occasionally travel for business meetings and events.
What We're Looking For
- An undergraduate or graduate degree with a technology major or minor; or the successful completion of a state-licensed technical bootcamp.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
Nice to Have
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Suggested majors include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering.
- 3 years or less of technology-related experience (may include internships).
- Exposure to Object-oriented programming (OOP) in one major language.
- Self-starter with a track record of exploring new technologies, applications, and environments beyond required commitments.
- Strong track record of taking ownership and responsibility for actions, outcomes, performance, and results.
- Ability to proactively manage time and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to actively engage with others while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated aptitude in identifying problems or opportunities, analyzing data, and exploring alternative solutions.

You will be a program participant within the Engineering Development Program's Software Engineering track.

- Compensation range: $68,600.00 - $113,000.00
