Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is seeking an Engineer - Track Construction to manage the full lifecycle of earthworks and road construction projects. You will be responsible for planning, tendering, and construction supervision, while coordinating with a diverse set of external parties and ensuring diligent cost management.
What You'll Do
- Plan, tender, and award earthworks and road construction projects, including creating specifications, calculating quantities, evaluating bids, and recommending awards.
- Execute and supervise construction: brief contractors, provide technical support, conduct inspections, track costs, manage interim and final acceptance, and oversee warranty periods.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as authorities, utility companies, and engineering offices on utilities, safety measures, and workflows.
- Create crossing agreements and compensation calculations with other transport modes in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Manage project costs and data in iTWO, determining and updating cost calculations, financing plans, and steering-relevant data per AKVS, and evaluating ZEB data.
What We're Looking For
- A completed university degree in civil engineering or comparable expertise, qualifications, and experience.
Nice to Have
- Several years of professional experience in this field with comprehensive expertise in road construction, procurement, and legal/regulatory frameworks (e.g., HOAI, VOB/VOL, RSA 21, FStrG, DIN standards for concrete, crossing law including ABBV, AKVS).
- Proficient use of job-specific software, especially iTWO for tendering, billing, and costs, and MS Office.
- A Class B driver's license and willingness to use a private or company vehicle.
