The Hershey Company is hiring an Engineer, Process Design & Implementation to join our Process Engineering Group. In this role, you will assist in the conceptual and detailed engineering design, execution, and implementation of projects for our North American manufacturing sites. You will report to the Senior Manager and develop your process engineering skills through structured mentorship and collaboration with technical and business partners.

What You'll Do

• Assist in developing construction scope and bid packages for capital projects.
• Assist with coordinating and overseeing equipment and system installation, check-out, and commissioning.
• Assist with process support, troubleshooting, and optimization during startup.
• Assist with training manufacturing personnel on key operating parameters.
• Ensure successful transition of deliverables and documentation to Plant Operations and Maintenance staff.
• Assist with developing manufacturing alternatives and processing solutions for projects.
• Generate and develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Provide input to equipment specification, selection, and evaluation of equipment suppliers.
• Provide input to cost estimating for capital projects and process solutions.

What We're Looking For

• A BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Food, Agricultural, or other closely related Engineering field.
• 0-2 years of experience in Food Processing, Confectionery, Pharmaceutical, or related industries.
• General knowledge of common process unit operations and equipment used in confectionary, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
• General knowledge of sanitary design, construction practices, GMPs, and Food Safety.
• Basic understanding of the design and application of process piping systems, food manufacturing equipment, and process automation & instrumentation.
• Ability to prioritize solutions and develop schedules based on business objectives.
• Developing troubleshooting and optimization skills.
• Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Must be open to and comfortable with change.
• Familiarity with MS Office programs.

Nice to Have

• Previous Co-Op or Intern experience in Food Processing, Confectionary, or Pharmaceutical industries.
