About the Role
Engineer III SDET role in the Falcon Cloud Security (FCS) Runtime engineering team responsible for designing and developing test infrastructure, automated tools, and test suites for new features. The role focuses on extending Falcon platform capabilities to provide visibility, detection, and prevention for Linux and containers in orchestration environments like Kubernetes.

- Championing development projects to improve overall Cloud Security runtime Sensors
- Participating in engineering best practices including secure coding, testing paradigms, debugging, performance measurement, code reviews, CI/CD, and OS internals
- Working closely with development teams to design and implement test strategies and test suites for new capabilities
- Increasing automated test coverage
- Improving release quality and velocity
- Collaborating with release engineering teams to drive timely and high-quality Cloud Sensor releases
- Collaborating with multi-functional teams in various locations
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on SDET/Test automation development experience
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of Python
- Strong Linux operating systems fundamentals — components, system calls, resource management
- Experience working with Containers
- Knowledge of Kubernetes infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of one or more Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, VMware)
- Good knowledge of Container environments and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift)
- General knowledge and understanding of C/C++/Go
- Experience working with Linux user applications and kernel modules
- Ability to design and develop automation testbeds that are flexible and mirror customer environment nuances in various cloud environments
- Knowledge of product quality strategies including automation, manual testing and performance/scale testing
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, partner and work effectively with distributed teams
Nice to Have
- Experience working with eBPF code for security or networking
- Knowledge and experience in Cyber security landscape
- Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Experience working with hypervisors and virtualization technologies
