This role is responsible for upholding quality across the supply chain by overseeing supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and compliance with technical and regulatory standards. Working closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Production, the specialist ensures that supplier deliverables meet defined quality criteria from initial selection through ongoing contract execution.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and approve new suppliers based on technical capability, quality performance, and alignment with project needs
- Track supplier performance using data-driven metrics and contribute insights to sourcing and procurement strategies
- Maintain a centralized record of supplier certifications, audit outcomes, and historical quality data
- Review technical specifications before supplier release to confirm quality requirements are clearly defined
- Plan and execute audits to verify adherence to purchase orders, product specifications, and ISO 9001 standards
- Document findings from audits and coordinate corrective actions with both internal teams and suppliers
- Assess inspection and test reports to support acceptance or rejection of incoming materials
- Lead root cause analysis and improvement initiatives to reduce nonconformities and strengthen supplier capability
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions and ensure sustainable resolution of quality issues
- Deliver training and guidance to suppliers on quality systems, tools, and compliance expectations
- Support continuous improvement by analyzing CAPA data and identifying systemic trends across the supply base
Requirements
- Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
- At least five years of hands-on experience in supplier quality, auditing, or quality control within manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Experience with quality management systems and data analysis tools
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate across technical and operational functions
- Willingness to complete a certificate of conduct (VOG) if required
