Lumen Technologies is seeking an Engineer I to join our team. This multifaceted role combines engineering, implementation support, and field focus to accommodate growth and new services in a practical, standard, and economical manner.

What You'll Do

Prepare, track, and migrate live customer services under controlled change windows, including out-of-hours work.
Communicate consistently with stakeholders to manage dependencies, provide clarity, and update relevant tracking systems.
Update provisioning system records and tracking databases with a high degree of accuracy within specified timelines.
Work on moderate to complex projects with cross-functional teams and with limited guidance.
Seek or provide guidance to gain support and develop cross-functional expertise.
Engage stakeholders (internal and external) for risk mitigation and complex problem resolution.
Coach team members and provide training on current and upcoming projects.
Contribute to process documentation and work instructions for new or ongoing activities.
Participate in required training and meetings.
Prepare plans and specifications for new systems or additions to networks.
Develop and define plans to implement or modify existing networks to meet new service demands or improve efficiency.
Identify the most feasible, practical, and economical means to accomplish objectives and define alternatives.
Provide cost data to support capital/expense budgets for new services, technologies, and customer requirements.
Develop project support requirements by identifying the scope of effort, defining total project needs, communicating them, and monitoring progress and cost.
Monitor and control project expenditures, prepare progress reports, define problems, and provide recommended solutions.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.

Location Based Pay Ranges: $55,313 - $73,750 in AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY. $58,078 - $77,438 in CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI. $60,844 - $81,125 in AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA.
