Responsibilities
- Investigate employee complaints and workplace concerns promptly and objectively
- Conduct interviews and gather evidence during internal investigations
- Interpret company policies and employment laws to guide management decisions
- Support disciplinary actions and performance management processes
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases
- Collaborate with HR partners to address team-specific issues
- Assist in drafting responses to employee grievances
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations
- Provide guidance on union-related matters and collective bargaining agreements
- Support organizational changes involving workforce impacts
- Promote consistent application of HR policies across departments
- Partner with legal counsel when necessary
- Develop recommendations for resolving complex employee situations
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information
- Identify trends in employee relations data to inform preventive strategies
- Assist in updating employee handbooks and policy documents
- Deliver training to managers on employee relations best practices
- Monitor changes in employment law and advise on policy updates
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes as they relate to compliance
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding workplace policies
- Facilitate communication between employees and management
- Evaluate risks associated with employee relations issues
- Participate in cross-functional HR initiatives
