Mass General Brigham, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to patient care, research, and community service, seeks an Emergency Services Assistant to join the team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. This role involves working 36-hour night shifts in the Emergency Department, assisting patients with daily living and clinical tasks under the direction of licensed personnel.
What You'll Do
- Perform vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frames.
- Complete all required documentation in the medical record.
- Interact effectively with patients and their families.
- Assist patients with basic hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Help patients turn and reposition themselves in bed and move between bed and wheelchair.
- Listen to patient health concerns and report them to nurses.
What We're Looking For
- Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, or EMT, or commensurate experience is required.
- If MA is not offering CNA exams, documentation of successful completion of full CNA course work will suffice.
- Nursing student who has completed fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation or simulation lab). For nursing students hired as PCAs, we strongly prefer those enrolled in BSN programs or direct-entry Masters’ programs.
Nice to Have
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience working in patient care or elder care.

You will work under the direction of licensed personnel in the BWH Emergency Department.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $18.22 - $26.06 per hour.
- A $750.00 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at 45 Francis Street.
