Integrated DNA Technologies, B.V. is hiring an EMEA Applications Scientist

Support customers with scientific expertise across the EMEA region by providing clear, actionable guidance on genomics product applications. In this role, you'll collaborate directly with researchers and industry professionals to understand their needs, refine experimental approaches, and resolve technical challenges using real data and product specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver responsive pre- and post-sales support via phone, email, and chat, ensuring accurate interpretation of product performance and application guidelines
  • Analyze customer-submitted data to troubleshoot experiments and recommend optimized workflows
  • Collaborate with sales and internal service teams to escalate complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Manage custom design requests from intake through completion, aligning solutions with customer objectives
  • Utilize internal databases to access product and manufacturing details critical to technical assessments

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field is required, along with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in genomics applications within a research or life science industry setting. Prior customer-facing experience is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and strong written and verbal communication abilities are expected.

Advanced candidates will hold an M.S. or Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a similar discipline, and bring five or more years of applied genomics experience. The role supports remote work from within the EMEA region, offering flexibility without compromising scientific collaboration.
