Indiana Digital Learning School is looking for an Elementary Teacher to deliver specific course content in an online environment for K-5 students. You will provide instruction, support, and guidance while focusing on students’ individual needs and building relationships with families and learning coaches.
What You'll Do
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
- Commit to personalizing learning and demonstrate a belief in all students’ ability to succeed.
- Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
- Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools.
- Maintain grade book ensuring academic integrity and make promotion decisions.
- Alert administrators to concerns about student performance.
- Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate in a timely manner.
- Support learning coaches with curricular, instructional issues, and basic troubleshooting.
- Travel approximately 20% of the time for professional development, testing, and school functions.
- Monitor student progress through the learning management system.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree.
- Active state teaching license.
- Ability to clear required background check.
- Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.
- Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office.
- Ability to work collaboratively to interpret and produce representations of student data.
- Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers.
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Ability to maintain certification and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum.

- Experience working with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
- Experience teaching in an online and/or brick-and-mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
