OrganOx is hiring an Electronics Engineering Manager to lead and develop the electronics engineering team responsible for the design, verification, and lifecycle support of our medical device products. In this role, you will ensure electronic systems are delivered on time, to required quality standards, and in compliance with medical device regulations.
What You'll Do
- Provide line management to electronics engineers, including performance reviews, objective setting, coaching, and career development planning.
- Build and maintain a motivated, accountable, and high-performing electronics team.
- Plan and allocate engineering resources across multiple projects to ensure effective delivery of electronics work packages.
- Oversee the design, development, and verification of electronic subsystems, ensuring alignment with system requirements and regulatory standards.
- Review and approve technical outputs including schematics, PCB layouts, verification plans, and design documentation.
- Support architectural decisions in collaboration with Principal Engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure appropriate application of design controls, risk management, and documentation in line with medical device development processes.
- Track project progress, identify delivery risks, and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with project management.
- Drive continuous improvement in electronics development processes, tools, and best practices.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning within the electronics function.
- Engage with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure robust electronic assemblies and smooth transfer to manufacturing.
Team & Environment
You will report to the Director, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Software, Systems, Mechanical, and Manufacturing.
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid work model and is based in Oxford.
