Advanced Energy is hiring an Electronic Engineering Manager to lead a team of design engineers. You will be responsible for the development of switched mode power supply products that meet customer and market needs while adhering to stringent standards for safety, quality, cost, and manufacturability.
What You'll Do
- Lead product design development and the entire product development cycle within the design team.
- Oversee multiple projects to develop products optimized for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Balance customer expectations on performance, time, and cost with internal requirements for manufacturability, quality, and reliability.
- Ensure all product design and development processes comply with internal standards and procedures.
- Review customer specifications and requirements.
- Plan development schedules and commit milestone schedules to Project Management.
- Determine design concepts, approaches, and topologies with the team, assessing resource requirements to meet targets.
- Agree on target schedules and secure support from other teams.
- Conduct regular meetings with customers to clarify requirements and address development issues.
- Monitor program status throughout development across cost, schedule, and technical parameters.
- Lead problem-solving sessions and decide on solutions to minimize project impact.
- Drive product design and research for high quality and innovation.
- Ensure a smooth transition of designs to mass production.
- Foster the technical and professional growth of the engineering team.
