Job Bridge Global is seeking an Electrical Lineman to join our team in Canada. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead electrical power lines and systems. The role involves working in various environments and weather conditions while adhering to strict safety protocols.
What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead electrical power lines and systems.
- Inspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and diagnose problems.
- Adhere to strict safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, such as power tools, measuring devices, and vehicles equipped with hydraulic lifts.
- Climb poles using belts and work in various environments and weather conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and remote areas.
- Collaborate with other utility workers and professionals to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Communicate effectively with the public, colleagues, and supervisors.
What We're Looking For
- Completion of training in electrical linework.
- Relevant certifications, such as a climbing certification, lineman electrical training, and lineman health and safety training.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power generation, and distribution.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
