Televicentro of Puerto Rico is hiring an Editor to join our news team. You will be responsible for preparing materials for our newscasts, editing news-related events, and working with various video formats and equipment under tight deadlines.
What You'll Do
- Prepare materials to be used in newscasts, including packages, voice overs, bulletins, and promotions.
- Gather and analyze information on national events.
- Prepare material for the newscast within short timeframes, utilizing effects, creativity, and innovation.
- Edit events related to the production of the newscast.
- Manage multiple tasks in a short time and align with the operations of the News Department.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Communications.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience managing AVID NewsCutter, NLE System, Sony BVW A 500 Digital Recorder, Sony BVW A510 Digital Player, and XDCam-Sony.
- Experience operating news editing formats: Pkg's, VO's, Special Reel's, SOT's, etc.
- Knowledge of topics related to Politics, Entertainment, and Local and International News. Must be informed of newsworthy events involving public figures in the country.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Available to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in post-production, element conversion, video composition, color correction, music, audio mixing, and file transcoding for web and DVD.
