Motion Industries is hiring a Distribution Center Stockroom Associate to expedite incoming and outgoing freight in a NAPA Distribution Center Warehouse. You'll be at the heart of our operations, receiving, stocking, pulling, staging, loading, and shipping parts to meet store and customer orders.
What You'll Do
- Expedite incoming and outgoing freight.
- Receive, stock, pull, stage, load, and ship freight.
- Process inventory and maximize warehouse space usage.
- Check, verify, load, stock, and pull inventory to meet orders.
- Unpack incoming parts shipments from suppliers.
- Pull orders for standard customer stock orders, special orders, and main counter/will-call demands.
- Use an electronic scan-gun to review out-bound orders for pulling accuracy.
- Ensure safe packing of orders for shipment and properly label shipping trays/packages.
- Clean up and dispose of boxes, packing material, and pallets; perform general housekeeping.
- Follow all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.
- Load customer orders into delivery trucks in proper sequence.
- Perform daily inspections of motorized and manual equipment.
- Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
What We're Looking For
- Capable of lifting and moving parts up to 75 pounds.
- Able to push/pull up to 300 pounds using mechanical aids.
- Able to move heavy equipment with moving aids.
- Able to repeatedly bend, stoop, and reach upper shelves (8 feet).
- Ability to recognize part numbers and line codes accurately and rapidly.
- Basic understanding and capable of operating a computer terminal.
- Able to write legibly and read, understand, and communicate instructions.
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, push, pull, and move at a quick pace.
- Must be able to work in a drug free atmosphere.
- Availability to work between 7AM-8PM M-F with occasional weekend work.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a distribution center and/or warehouse environment.
- Experience using RF scanning equipment.
