At Practicebetter, we are dedicated to renewing hope and purpose for individuals battling opioid use. Our warm, welcoming, and modern mobile clinics are focused on providing the highest levels of patient-centered care. We are looking for a Dispensary Nurse (LPN/RN) to join our mobile team, playing a critical role in delivering compassionate, member-centered opioid treatment directly to communities in Pierce and King Counties.
What You'll Do
- Accurately dispense prescribed opioid agonist medications in strict accordance with clinic protocols and regulations.
- Track, reconcile, and report medication inventory for each shift.
- Ensure smooth and efficient dispensary operations, escalating supply needs as required.
- Administer, document, and follow up on tuberculosis (TB) testing, including referrals for chest x-rays.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Provide general nursing support as directed by the Mobile Nurse Clinical Supervisor.
- Safeguard all medications, records, and controlled documents per DEA, DOH, and OTP guidelines.
- Stay current on relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support regulatory audits and internal reviews to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and supportive team environment.
- Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and development opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active Washington State nursing license (LPN or RN).
- BLS certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire).
- At least 1 year of direct patient care experience in a clinical setting.
- Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with diverse populations.
- Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
- No current or recent history of substance use.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and move for extended periods during a shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., supplies, equipment, files).
Nice to Have
- Experience working in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) dispensary is highly valued.
- Familiarity with medication inventory systems and dosing protocols.
- Background in behavioral health or mental health care is a plus.
