Sunrun was looking for a Director, Supply Chain

Sunrun is hiring a Director, Supply Chain to lead the end-to-end operations of SnapNrack. This role owns operations from sourcing and vendor management through planning, procurement, manufacturing, and fulfillment. You will manage strategic decision-making and work cross-functionally to optimize the financial performance of SnapNrack material costs and availability.

What You'll Do

  • Lead procurement and sourcing decisions, including vendor selection and cost negotiation.
  • Evaluate vendors on quality, capacity, and capabilities, and drive contracts that protect Sunrun’s interests.
  • Own demand plans based on inputs from various parts of the business.
  • Place orders, track fulfillment, and take actions to address near and long-term supply issues.
  • Work with SnapNrack sales teams to validate forecasts and manage product supply disruptions.
  • Identify current and potential product shortages, and develop and execute recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to launch new products and engage on Design-to-cost efforts.
  • Manage the 3PL at the JRZ facility, including production plans, material flow, and productivity.
  • Own reporting on product costs and run analysis to understand usage trends and cost stack impacts.
  • Communicate inventory position, budget, and financial re-forecast to the COO/CFO and Finance organization.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and achieve consensus on operating plans and inventory goals.
  • Develop systems and procedures required to meet service and inventory turn objectives.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Analysis, or Business.
  • 10+ years of experience managing purchasing, strategic sourcing, demand planning, forecasting, integrated supply chain functions, materials handling, inventory control, freight/traffic activities, global logistics, or warehousing.
  • Experience as part of an Executive Team charged with developing long-term business strategies across functions.
  • Experience in managing a distributed workforce.
  • Demonstrated project management, negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and financial analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and demonstrated skills in analyzing and establishing timelines.
  • Experience in an integrated ERP environment.
  • Proven ability in developing and leading high-performance teams.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with ability to champion initiatives across the entire value delivery system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Financial analysis and reporting experience.
  • Superior internal and external customer focus.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks under strict timeline pressures.

Nice to Have

  • MBA preferred.
  • ERP implementation experience preferred.

Team & Environment

This role works cross-functionally with supply, demand, sales, and finance teams and reports to the COO/CFO.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $150,816.39 to $201,088.52
