JLL is hiring a Director, Sourcing & Procurement in Taipei. This role leads the strategic sourcing function across a portfolio of categories, including the development and implementation of strategic and operational sourcing, category management, and supply management strategies for Integrated Facility Management (IFM).
What You'll Do
- Establish, lead, and execute category plans, strategies, and frameworks, including market approaches, procurement analysis, supplier development, and evaluation.
- Lead efforts to improve supply chain efficiency, maintain service and product quality standards, and reduce costs.
- Identify and evaluate new market trends, dynamics, and opportunities to inform market strategies and procurement decisions.
- Provide expert advice to key stakeholders and clients on all aspects of the procurement category strategy.
- Establish and enhance stakeholder and client engagement to ensure sourcing strategies meet JLL and client needs.
- Develop optimal sourcing strategies to achieve consistent, quality outcomes for the category.
- Conduct negotiations on critical, complex supply arrangements and manage contract negotiations.
- Supervise and direct the work of category management personnel and cross-functional working groups.
- Report on procurement activity in terms of progress, results, client satisfaction, value, and cost.
- Keep informed of supply market dynamics and trends and develop strategies to maintain JLL influence.
- Conduct business impact analysis to determine and manage potential supply chain risks.
- Assist in developing and communicating the IFM and Sourcing & Procurement vision.
- Implement and maintain procurement rules and standards set by JLL and clients.
What We're Looking For
- Business or Commerce degree.
- At least 10 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, and negotiation, especially in the SEMI-CON industry.
- Management experience in integrated outsourcing and supply chain management and procurement.
- Experience managing outsourcing relationships and the ability to accomplish results through vendor management.
- Experience negotiating vendor contracts drawing upon contract management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Competency in financial modelling, feasibility studies, and total cost of ownership analysis.
- Ability to analyse complex problems and generate solutions.
- Exceptional relationship management and conflict management capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead by example, with strong influencing skills.
- Experience managing procurement activities for multiple clients.
- Fluent English communication skills for both oral and written communication.
Nice to Have
- Relevant work experience in IFM with knowledge of procurement for services related to facility management.
- Applied knowledge of facilities management, maintenance operations, engineering, and risk management, with the capability to adapt them to meet new and evolving needs.
Team & Environment
This role reports directly to the Sourcing & Procurement Geo lead for Great China & Korea and has a matrix report to the Work Dynamics Taiwan Head.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located in Taipei, Taiwan.
