Virginia Beach, VA First (Days) Overview: The Revenue Integrity Director spearheads a critical team tasked with continuous management and enhancement of the charge description master (CDM) across all Sentara hospital facilities and Sentara Physician Groups, along with charge capture frameworks within Epic. Guarantees that CDM entries precisely represent billable services. This position demands extensive knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) standards, Medicare regulatory requirements, and comprehensive understanding of Epic infrastructure and associated charge capture workflows. The role supports internal coding and charge audit functions, providing guidance for governmental audits like HRSA and Third-Party Payer reviews, engaging in compliance activities and clinical denial root cause investigation and optimization. Given its service-oriented and project management focus, this role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication capabilities combined with outstanding analytical and organizational skills. Effectively meeting deadlines while influencing—though not directly managing—others' work is crucial.
