You'll guide a compact engineering team, navigate technical decisions, and collaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver user-centric features driving growth. Primary Responsibilities: • Develop backend systems utilizing TypeScript and NestJS • Architect and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas for complex datasets • Ensure robust, scalable, and efficient backend infrastructure • Directly collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers • Segment complex features into strategic, phased implementations • Mentor engineering team and establish sprint-based development methodologies • Contribute to architectural strategy and technical decision-making • Maintain rigorous GitHub workflow practices Requirements Essential Qualifications: • 4+ years backend development experience with NestJS • 4+ years PostgreSQL expertise (schema design, optimization) • 3+ years TypeScript proficiency • 2+ years Google Cloud Platform experience • Demonstrated team leadership (managing 3+ engineers) • Background in B2C product environments • Proven capabilities in scaling complex systems • Comprehensive understanding of REST APIs and performance optimization • Strong interpersonal and communication skills Beneficial Additional Experience: • Consumer application development • Marketplace or fintech background • Familiarity with NextJS frameworks • Genuine interest in collectible trading ecosystems
