Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks a Director, Revenue Cycle Payment Integrity to provide overall leadership and strategic direction for this critical unit. This position requires EPIC experience and focuses on developing departmental goals, optimizing processes, and ensuring financial integrity within a renowned academic medical center environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop departmental goals and objectives based on institutional policy.
- Plan and establish priorities to achieve departmental vision.
- Initiate and develop new policies, procedures, and operational methods.
- Analyze the long-range impact of decisions and strategic plans.
- Ensure effective operations through program development and process improvement.
- Design, implement, and evaluate programs to maximize clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and reimbursement.
- Standardize services and processes to improve efficiency.
- Provide supervision, planning, and coordination for department staff.
- Adjust schedules and priorities to meet emergencies or changing conditions.
- Participate on committees to address problems and facilitate information exchange.
- Analyze and evaluate ongoing programs to identify areas for adjustment or improvement.
- Develop staffing plans to meet developmental objectives.
- Define and achieve financial targets supporting institutional goals.
- Prepare, present, and justify annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
- Evaluate organizational structures to determine optimal resource allocation.
- Analyze budget variances and project future budgets.
- Create and exceed service standards using best practices and customer expectations.
- Foster an organizational culture that is safe, satisfying, and enriching for employees.
- Provide leadership that models the mission and values of the institution.
- Ensure all Human Resource and VUMC policies and procedures are followed.
- Define qualifications and performance expectations for all staff positions.
- Create an environment that encourages staff development, learning, and regular feedback.
- Establish, identify, and evaluate quality assurance standards and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- EPIC experience is required.
