Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is looking for a Director, Retail Channel Operations (Digital Appliances). This role leads a team responsible for planning, implementing, and managing Samsung's portfolio presence across US retail to achieve sellout goals through brand advocacy and maximizing retailer partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day leadership and management of the LOB Channel Operations team, including fulfillment, budget, reporting, and schedule review.
- Partner with Digital Appliances business stakeholders across sales, marketing, and retail operations to execute business plans within channel partners’ retail stores.
- Support all product launches, promotional activities, and key drive times.
- Lead Samsung placement planning to optimize sales for each LOB product category across retail locations.
- Uphold Samsung brand standards and prepare retail merchandising and display plans based on category priorities and consumer insights.
- Oversee digital content implementation on devices and digital in-store signage.
- Outline the channel training strategy and work with cross-functional partners to develop and execute retail training initiatives.
- Partner with 3rd Party Labor agencies and field leaders to leverage campaigns and insights for merchandising implementation.
- Synthesize insights from qualitative and quantitative data, compare against KPIs, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Evangelize the Samsung LOB vision and mission.
- Lead a visible and high-performing Digital Appliances Channel Operations team.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 12+ years of retail leadership experience, preferably in Consumer Electronics or other fast-moving categories.
- Strong leader with strategic business management skills, able to shift between tactical and strategic perspectives.
- Results-oriented, inquisitive, comfortable with ambiguity, and possessing versatile communication styles.
- Ability to manage and develop teams and work cooperatively with internal business partners locally and globally.
- Ability to influence, lead, motivate, and direct cross-functional resources to establish project schedules and execute within timelines.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Nice to Have
- Experience in customer experience design, development, visibility, and knowledge of retail tech.
- Constantly curious, using research, insights, and data analytics to understand customer needs.
- A passionate customer advocate.
- Demonstrated experience in executive presentations, storytelling, and sound bites.
