Pinterest is looking for a Director, Product Management - Merchants to lead product strategy and execution for our Merchants vertical. Your mission is to ensure high-quality merchants succeed on the platform while maintaining a compelling experience for Pinners. This role sits at the intersection of search, social, and commerce on our leaned-in platform.
What You'll Do
- Craft and socialize Pinterest-wide product strategy for the Merchants vertical.
- Oversee work on merchant integrity, product catalog management and health, new ad offerings, and the merchant organic experience.
- Manage, coach, and recruit for the existing Merchants product management team.
- Partner closely with technical, business, and sales teams to understand merchant needs and opportunities.
- Work closely with Merchants, third-party partners, and internal sales teams.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- A trusted collaborator who builds deep and trusted relationships across teams.
- A strategic thinker who can understand the operating landscape and make frequent tradeoffs on resource investment.
- A skilled communicator, able to articulate strategy clearly to executive and broad company audiences.
- A strong people leader to lead an existing team of PMs and drive recruiting efforts.
- Technical strength to partner closely with Engineering teams, including those working with Machine Learning.
- A driver of results who produces significant, measurable outcomes against company key goals.
- Deep empathy for both merchant struggles and goals, and a commitment to ensuring a robust Pinner experience.

- Experience in e-commerce, platform tooling, shopping ads, or a related field.

Benefits & Compensation
- Annual compensation: $226,644—$466,620 USD + equity.
Work Mode
This role is open for remote work, with the option to be based in San Francisco.
