About the Role

Axon is hiring a Director, Product Finance to partner across finance and key business units. You will drive process improvements, strategic analysis, and enhance our forecasting to support a dynamic team tackling critical safety and justice challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Apply financial and business acumen to support operational and financial decision-makers with data, analysis, and process creation.
  • Support Product Roadmap prioritization based on profit contribution and engineering constraints, partnering closely with engineering and product leads.
  • Model new product design iterations and build business cases for new products and features based on product-market fit and expected cost reduction.
  • Drive regular cost reduction, headcount, and budget reviews to ensure alignment with the company plan and product strategy.
  • Support the corporate forecasting process for R&D and product spend, presenting results to R&D leadership.
  • Support the company-wide Strategic Portfolio Planning Process by assisting in creating Investment Business Cases for new Products & Strategic initiatives.
  • Support Product teams in holistic analysis of market and P&L performance for key Product Segments with data, KPIs, and analysis.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and business analytics in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of owning and driving projects to completion cross-functionally.
  • Experience driving process improvements focused on quality, timeliness, and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong concern for quality and deadlines.
  • Expertise in data analysis and dynamic scenario modeling with emphasis on validating inputs and assumptions.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills for frequent interaction with financial and non-financial leaders.
  • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Technology, software, or SaaS industry experience.
  • Manufacturing experience.

This position is hybrid and available in San Francisco, Denver, Seattle, or Scottsdale.
