JLL is looking for a Director, PDS Projects to lead complex structured cabling and data infrastructure initiatives. As the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for clients, you will apply your deep expertise in passive IT systems and project management to deliver high-quality cabling solutions on time and within budget.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the SPOC for clients and manage overall project relationships throughout the full lifecycle.
- Lead project governance including project briefs, execution plans, risk registers, and master programs.
- Coordinate liaison between internal teams and external contractors for schedule alignment.
- Chair key meetings, manage centralized communication, and host weekly stakeholder updates.
- Coordinate with engineering teams on network cabling design, rack layouts, and cable routing.
- Review layout plans for premises and electrical requirements to ensure client standards compliance.
- Oversee design responsibility and approve System Integrator submissions like shop drawings and quality manuals.
- Manage procurement schedules and support tendering processes with client procurement teams.
- Assist in vendor pre-qualification and coordinate the RFP process with cost consultants.
- Manage tender events, vendor presentations, and support technical recommendation processes.
- Oversee complete construction activities, day-to-day site work, and vendor mobilization.
- Provide construction supervision for cabling infrastructure, communications rooms, and power installations.
- Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Manage vendor submissions for testing, calibration, and certifications.
- Coordinate with third-party contractors for smart building systems and data point connectivity.
- Ensure smooth project handover with snag list tracking and comprehensive documentation.
- Coordinate handover documents including O&M manuals, warranties, as-built drawings, and test reports.
- Manage system rectifications during the defect liability period.
- Provide full system documentation management and coordinate training for facility technicians.
- Submit comprehensive project closeout reports.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in structured cabling and data infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of passive IT systems, network cabling standards, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Proven experience with project management methodologies and stakeholder management.
- A track record in vendor management and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and audit processes.
Nice to Have
- Professional certifications such as PMP or RCDD.
- Experience with smart building technologies and integrated systems.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
