About the Role
This role is responsible for defining the end-to-end user experience across blockchain products, aligning design strategy with technical capabilities and user needs in a decentralized ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Define the overall design direction for web and mobile interfaces
- Collaborate with product managers to translate complex blockchain concepts into clear workflows
- Lead user research initiatives to understand customer behaviors and pain points
- Develop and maintain a scalable design system
- Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure design fidelity during implementation
- Mentor and manage a team of UI/UX designers and researchers
- Establish design standards that reflect security, transparency, and usability
- Champion user-centered design principles across product development cycles
- Evaluate emerging design tools and methodologies for remote collaboration
- Ensure accessibility and internationalization in all design outputs
- Present design strategies and user insights to executive stakeholders
- Align visual language with brand identity and community expectations
- Drive consistency across multiple decentralized applications
- Monitor product analytics to inform iterative design improvements
- Facilitate design sprints and cross-team workshops
- Integrate feedback from community forums and user testing
- Advocate for usability within technical constraints of blockchain infrastructure
- Manage timelines and deliverables for design projects
- Stay current with trends in decentralized identity, wallets, and smart contracts

- Direct experience in a blockchain or cryptocurrency organization
- Public contributions to open-source design projects
- Speaking or publishing history in design or web3 communities
- Familiarity with DAO governance models
- Knowledge of zero-knowledge proofs or Layer 2 solutions
- Experience designing for non-English-speaking markets
- Understanding of tokenomics and incentive design
