About the Role
Leads the development, implementation, and oversight of research analytics and reporting systems to enhance research administration and strategic planning. Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery across multiple research units.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and deployment of analytics platforms for research performance tracking
- Develop standardized reporting frameworks for grant activity, funding trends, and research output
- Collaborate with research leadership to identify key performance indicators and metrics
- Ensure data consistency across financial, compliance, and scientific research systems
- Lead a team of data analysts and reporting specialists
- Translate complex research data into actionable insights for executive stakeholders
- Manage integration of data from grants management, human resources, and finance systems
- Support institutional benchmarking and research portfolio analysis
- Establish data governance policies for research analytics
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting tools and dashboards
- Partner with IT and research administration on system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory data requirements
- Provide strategic input on research growth initiatives based on data findings
- Oversee data validation and quality assurance processes
- Develop training materials for research reporting tools
- Coordinate with external partners on data sharing agreements
- Prepare executive-level summaries and presentations
- Monitor national research trends to inform local analytics priorities
- Support accreditation and audit readiness through accurate reporting
- Foster a culture of data transparency and accountability
