BMC Company 100 is hiring a Director of Research Analytics & Reporting for Research Executive Services. This role leads the design and execution of data strategies to support the goals of Research & Sponsored Programs. You will oversee enterprise-wide data management, ensure data quality and accessibility, and deliver actionable insights through advanced visualization.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide research data strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish research data governance policies to ensure data integrity and security.
- Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of research data, including patient clinical and claims data.
- Lead the Clinical Data Warehouse for Research team to provide high-quality datasets for researchers.
- Design and deliver analytics and reporting tools using visualization platforms.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of research and analytics professionals, overseeing recruitment and performance.
- Partner with IT leaders to prepare clinical data for collaboration with external organizations on predictive algorithms and AI.
- Advocate for and enable the use of data analytics in research and clinical strategies.
- Stay current on developments in data analytics, informatics, and research methodologies.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Science or a related field.
- 5-7 years’ experience in an academic or healthcare setting with clinical, public health, or research operations data.
- Experience developing data visualizations and leading teams.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Epic.
- Leadership experience in building and managing cross-disciplinary teams.
- Experience working in both a health system and academic setting.
- Experience with proposal, award, and expenditure grant data.
Technical Stack
- Tableau, SQL, SAS, Stata, Python, R
- OLAP/cube structures
- Research data management systems (e.g., InfoEd, Cayuse)
Team & Environment
You will lead a multidisciplinary analytics team, including a Manager and data analysts. The role provides vision and technical leadership for the health system's clinical health informatics and data science direction, reporting to the Chief of Staff (CSO - Chief Scientific Officer).
