Tremendous is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead our product design function. This is a hands-on role where you will personally ship design work, manage a small team, and own the quality bar across our entire product.
What You'll Do
- Ensure we consistently ship high-quality, usable product experiences
- Review design work and provide clear, thoughtful feedback
- Partner with product managers to ensure strong context, requirements, and research
- Own and evolve our product design system
- Manage and grow a small team of product designers
- Contribute directly as a hands-on designer
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and brand partners
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of product design experience
- Recent hands-on experience shipping product design work
- Exceptional UX and visual design sense
- Experience owning end-to-end design, including design systems
- Strategic approach to design direction, not just execution
- Ability to connect design decisions to user and business outcomes
- Experience using AI tools in your design workflow and prototyping
- People management experience
- Experience providing direction, context, and feedback to designers without micromanaging
- A collaborative, low-ego working style

- Salary range: $235,000-$280,000 plus equity
