Asher Adams, An Autograph Collection Hotel, seeks a Director of Marketing to lead our property-level marketing strategy. In this role, you will develop and execute the annual marketing plan, building targeted campaigns to drive consumer awareness, increase market share, and showcase our unique programming to hotel guests and local patrons.
What You'll Do
- Create and execute the annual marketing plan to budget, in consultation with hotel, restaurant, spa, and other venue leaders.
- Partner with operations, F&B, and sales teams to execute promotions targeting in-house guests, local customers, and loyal guests.
- Work with property revenue management to verify correct offer loading and targeting.
- Aggregate and analyze reports from agencies and internal metrics to report on results and adjust the forward marketing plan.
- Complete required month-end reports.
- Partner with operations for optimal email collection.
- Manage hotel and restaurant website content.
- Manage campaigns and data collection for F&B, spa, and HR channels.
- Partner with hotel department heads on coordination of marketing for events and PR activations.
- Manage the execution of seasonal promotions by working with hotel leaders to create programming.
- Create run of show for all activations and oversee activations personally when needed.
- Travel as required.
- Manage media relations agency, ensuring they are equipped with programming for effective pitching and media management.
- Review monthly reports and hold agency accountable for results related to established KPIs.
- Work with agency to create compelling itineraries for writers and influencers and be available to greet them on site.
- Ensure prompt responses to reactive media inquiries.
- Manage the social media marketing budget.
- Manage the social media agency, reviewing calendars before publishing and offering content where needed.
- In the absence of an agency, manage social media channels directly.
- Prepare monthly reports on engagement rate, top posts, audience growth, and go-forward strategies.
- Manage the digital agency to ensure paid marketing strategies are informed and produce expected returns.
- Create content for monthly email marketing campaigns; track and report effectiveness.
- Review monthly digital reports and work with agency to adjust campaigns.
- Prepare monthly reports on return on ad spend, top referrers, campaigns, adwords, most visited pages, and site traffic analysis.
- Assess traditional and new print campaigns and manage the budget accordingly.
- Create trackable offers for print campaigns whenever possible and report on effectiveness.
- Manage print deadlines and organize collaborators to meet milestone requirements.
- Manage all collateral content and creative.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience developing and executing comprehensive property-level marketing plans.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with operations, F&B, sales, and revenue management teams.
- Expertise in managing external agencies (media, social, digital) with a focus on accountability and results.
- Strong analytical skills to aggregate reports, derive insights, and adjust strategies.
- Experience managing budgets across multiple marketing channels.
- Hands-on experience with content creation for websites, email campaigns, and social media.
- Ability to travel as required for the role.
