Virta Health is hiring a Director of IT to serve as the strategic architect of our internal technology ecosystem. You will transition IT from a reactive service to a proactive automation engine to scale the company's mission. This role builds and leads a high-performing team in a remote-first culture.

What You'll Do

Build and develop a high-performing IT team through clear expectations, coaching, and accountability in a remote-first culture.
Create the strategy and execution of internal automations using tools like Okta Workflows and evaluating others to systematically reduce manual tasks.
Own the Zendesk environment, including defining and reporting on IT SLAs and CSAT, and implement a formal project intake and prioritization process.
Design and enforce a standardized Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) framework aligned with the organizational structure.
Translate high-level security policies into technical controls and provide critical technical evidence for SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST audits.
Build deep partnerships with InfoSec, HR, L&D, Legal, and Strategic Finance to ensure IT workflows support their specific business outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience building and driving complex, multi-app workflows in Okta Workflows or similar iPaaS platforms.
5+ years leading IT Service Desk or Service Delivery teams in a remote-first environment at a similar or large size company.
Expert-level knowledge of Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jamf, and Zendesk.
Strong understanding of RBAC methodologies and experience supporting enterprise security audits (SOC 2, HIPAA).
Ability to translate technical blockers into clear business risks and project timelines.
