United States of America Remote (Global) Full-time

Directive is hiring an Associate Director of Resourcing (Remote US)

About the Role

Lead Resourcing Strategy in a High-Growth Agency Environment

This newly established role is central to shaping how we plan, allocate, and optimize talent across client engagements. You’ll own the capacity planning model and ensure leadership has real-time visibility into resource availability, demand forecasts, and staffing tradeoffs. Your insights will directly influence decisions on hiring, team structure, and client onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain the pricing estimator with current salary data, markups, and exchange rates on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with Sales to forecast staffing needs for new business, expansions, and renewals
  • Convert project scopes and proposals into detailed staffing plans, including role allocations and hour estimates
  • Monitor team capacity across roles, divisions, and skill sets, identifying potential conflicts early
  • Develop and present staffing options for new and existing clients, highlighting implications and alternatives
  • Model resource reallocation strategies ahead of client onboarding or offboarding
  • Generate data-backed hiring recommendations, including timing and expected utilization impact
  • Integrate inputs from sales pipeline, actuals vs. budget, margin performance, and retention signals into the capacity model
  • Track KPIs that link resourcing decisions to financial and client outcomes
  • Deliver regular reporting and strategic options to finance and executive leaders

Qualifications

You bring 4–8+ years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, or capacity modeling—ideally within an agency or professional services setting. You understand how billable hours, utilization targets, and scope-based delivery shape operational decisions.

You’re skilled in financial modeling and comfortable building planning tools from the ground up. You communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, framing recommendations with context and clarity. You operate with discretion, given access to sensitive data around compensation, performance, and staffing changes.

Preferred experience includes B2B, SaaS, or performance marketing agencies, CRM platforms like Salesforce, and engagement-level margin analysis.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position open to candidates in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. We operate in a virtual-first model, with optional access to office space in Irvine, California. Our culture values speed, bold thinking, and solving difficult challenges. We prioritize people, performance, and meaningful work.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Competitive base salary with an annual bonus that increases with tenure
  • Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees; 50% contribution for dependents
  • Disability and life insurance included
  • Unlimited PTO (minimum 2 weeks), paid holidays, and your birthday off
  • End-of-year recharge period (December 24 – January 1)
  • Paid parental leave and 401(k) with 3% company match
  • Mental health support via Spring Health, Headspace membership, and Gympass access
  • Annual trip with peers and leadership for connection and celebration

Our Commitment to Inclusion

We believe diverse perspectives drive better outcomes. As part of our People First value, we are committed to equitable hiring practices and fostering an inclusive workplace. All applicants are considered without regard to race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status.
