Ignite IT is hiring a Director of Government Contracts to enhance organizational performance by managing federal government services contracts and subcontracts. This senior role requires extensive contract management expertise and collaboration across teams to ensure successful execution.
What You'll Do
- Provide domain expertise in contract or subcontract management.
- Administer contracts or subcontracts and monitor performance.
- Act as the focal point for all contractual communications and commitments.
- Maintain documentation and files according to applicable processes.
- Assure compliance with applicable federal regulations and internal policies.
- Participate as a key member of proposal or program teams to address contract requirements.
- Collaborate with the Capture/Proposal/Program Manager to support overall performance.
- Review Requests for Proposals and participate in preparing compliant responses.
- Review or support reviews of subcontractor proposals, including managing source selection.
- Negotiate contracts or subcontracts within business goals and document discussions.
- Review contract documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with terms.
- Collaborate with program teams to ensure contract requirements are fully understood and executed.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding contract issues, audits, and compliance.
- Manage the contract change process and work to mitigate performance risk.
- Advise and support the business team on developments relative to assigned contracts.
- Monitor performance for scope changes and take appropriate action.
- Build customer or subcontractor relationships and understand their needs.
- Provide leadership, subject matter expertise, and innovative recommendations.
What We're Looking For
- US Citizenship required.
- Federal government contracting experience required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Broad expertise in contract or subcontract management.
- Very substantial knowledge of applicable federal regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
