American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. is looking for a Director of Digital Product Management to lead digital product initiatives. You will be responsible for team leadership, roadmap creation, and managing the product lifecycle using Agile methodologies, collaborating closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities and features.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business partners, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead a team of 4-5 product managers, clearly articulating the why, what, and how of the product or feature.
- Align on action items, owners, and due dates and track them to completion.
- Take the lead in roadmap creation and requirement gathering.
- Manage the development backlog using Agile Scrum methodologies, prioritizing features based on business value and user impact.
- Translate the software product roadmap into minimum viable product iterations.
- Work closely with the technology team to develop, test, and deliver defined user stories for platform capabilities and features, rapidly iterating new solutions through automation and demo/prototyping.
- Own and accept all user stories or features for your assigned scrum team or capabilities.
- Review and demonstrate sprint-related or general functionality with external partners and customers, including the Director of Product Management and other colleagues.
- Ensure appropriate tracking and reporting is in place to track performance post-launch to evaluate future investment.
- Regularly manage and coordinate updates on risks, issues, and changes to leadership to ensure alignment with adjacent groups.
- Facilitate the resolution of complex risks, issues, and changes tied to initiatives and process.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the product.
- Analyze trends, industry standards, and best practices to be employed in the offerings.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience with the full product lifecycle as a Product Manager.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, information security, mathematics, statistics, or a relevant field.
- A good balance of business acumen and technical knowledge with a proven track record of driving platform innovation with a customer-first mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of technology availability metrics, methodologies, and audit points.
- Ability to lead product initiatives and maintain an overall strategic trajectory.
- Ability to break a strategy down into capabilities, features, and user stories.
- Must have the ability to connect the dots between different requirements of different stakeholders.
- An established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, Agile, and SAFe principles.
- Strong leadership with the ability to influence others through partnerships.
- Must possess a growth mindset and creative thinking skills.
- Strong knowledge of UI / UX development activities.
